T A P E Collective UK tour
T A P E Collective was founded in 2015 as a response to the lack of representation on screen; wanting to platform and highlight the sheer variety of under-served films that are definitely out there. They decided to bring exciting screenings to new audiences, championing the forgotten could-be cult films of the festival circuit and programmes of women of colour both behind and in front of the camera. More information can be found on their website.
After a successful BFI takeover earlier this year, we are delighted to be partnering with T A P E Collective on three special events as part of their UK tour – see below for details.
T A P E Collective are also looking to commission 12 written pieces responding to But Where Are You Really From? to accompany the short film programme.
The pieces can take the shape of a personal essay, review, feature or article and must be between 1200-2000 words. Paid £120-£180 depending on length and what form the written work takes!
Please pitch your idea (max 200 words) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Pitch deadline is Tuesday 19th October 2021. More info here.
