On this page you'll find all the various ways you can get involved with the Hyde Park Picture House, whether that's as a volunteer, staff member or taking part in one of our projects.
Unfortunately we don't have any paid vacancies at the current time.
The Picture House is only here today thanks to the time, support and generosity of our wonderful volunteers. See below for details of the latest volunteering opportunities we have available.
On the the Road volunteers: Leeds University Union
We are currently recruiting volunteers to join our team and assist with our On the Road screenings at Leeds University Union's Pyramid theatre. Volunteers will act as guides and ushers, helping our guests find their way through the Union building to the Pyramid theatre and/or showing guests to their seats.
The screenings are on Sundays from 3:30pm and Mondays from 6pm. Volunteers shifts will begin 45 minutes before the first show’s start time and finish once the second screening has been seated. Volunteers are welcome to sit in and watch the films once the guests have been seated.
While this role is very focused on supporting these specific screenings at the moment, we are interested in hearing from people who have an interest in cinema and the arts, events management, film projection, and audio/visual technology, as we have aims to explore volunteering opportunities in these wider areas in the future.
