Film description

For those in search of a vibrant, warm-hearted seasonal film, how about a nostalgic treat from the heyday of MGM studios? Judy Garland stars in this delightful and romantic musical set in suburban St. Louis, where the four daughters of the Smith family are happily looking forward to the arrival of next year’s 1904 World’s Fair. When Mr. Smith reveals that he is being transferred to work in New York, the women in the family are distraught, not least because a new romance is blossoming with the boy next door…

With sumptuous period costumes, dancing and well-loved songs throughout, this is truly a film for all seasons.

Screening on 35mm film.
