Eighth Grade
Film description
Based upon the whirlwind that is contemporary adolescence, thirteen-year-old Kayla attempts to make her way through the final week of her thus far dire eighth grade, while simultaneously attempting to tackle the all-too-relevant issue of anxiety and loneliness before she begins high school. Eighth Grade displays the reality of being a teenager in contemporary, suburban society in a manner that is sometimes heart-breaking, but ultimately serves as a reminder that we are not alone, and things do get better. Programmed by Kelsey Raynor.
