Showtimes and location

Film description

A very special live show, celebrating 15 years since the release of David Thomas Broughton's acclaimed debut record The Complete Guide To Insufficiency.

Taking place close to Wrangthorn Church Hall where the album was originally recorded – David Thomas Broughton will perform the record live and in full at the historic Hyde Park Picture House.

----

A Limited edition vinyl re-issue to celebrate the anniversary of the record is also being released with the help of Song, by Toad Records

Originally released in 2004 by Birdwar Records in the UK, The Complete Guide To Insufficiency soon got a USA release on Plug Research in 2005, and garnered high praise from the likes of Tiny Mix Tapes and Pitchfork.

The music has been re-mastered, and the tracks slightly reordered to fit onto this special vinyl LP

We began Birdwar Records in order to release this album…Our wish to try and capture David’s current set at the time, an early far less performative version of what would become his brilliant and unpredictable live shows. We decided not to record a second take, it was done, a wonderfully imperfect document with just the right amount of insufficiency.” – Luke Drozd & Drew Millward (Birdwar Records)
