This event will take place at CLAY, Leeds, 2 Regent St, Leeds LS2 7QA
Funded by the Arts Council England, London Indian Film Festival and Hyde Park Picture House, we present a live performance by dancer and storyteller Ash Mukherjee, exploring his youthful inspirations and Queerness, from Bollywood classics to a rich diversity of other inspirations. Accompanied by a two LGBTQIA+ short films.
Vishnu’s Got My Back
Part Ted Talk & part musical with critically acclaimed performing artist Ash Mukherjee. The queer femme immigrant experience in a post colonial landscape is laid bare through social commentary, original songs and poetry.

Childhood friends, now in their twenties, reunite during a Durga Puja festival. As the night progresses in a bustling city their true feelings are revealed, taking the audience on a tender journey of intimacy and love.
