Too Desi Too Queer and Vishnu’s Got My Back Performance

Funded by the Arts Council England, London Indian Film Festival and Hyde Park Picture House, we present a live performance by dancer and storyteller Ash Mukherjee, exploring his youthful inspirations and Queerness, from Bollywood classics to a rich diversity of other inspirations. Accompanied by a two LGBTQIA+ short films.
Vishnu’s Got My Back
Part Ted Talk & part musical with critically acclaimed performing artist Ash Mukherjee. The queer femme immigrant experience in a post colonial landscape is laid bare through social commentary, original songs and poetry.

When coming out to his god fearing traditional parents, Sid uses his time machine to reset the day trying to make sure everything goes perfect.

Childhood friends, now in their twenties, reunite during a Durga Puja festival. As the night progresses in a bustling city their true feelings are revealed, taking the audience on a tender journey of intimacy and love.
